Mr. Nancy Interview
TCZ: Why did you leave Fabulous Disaster?
Mr. Nancy: Cuz I needed some time to take care of some personal stuff, it was time to move to a new location....
TCZ: You had some pretty serious medical problems that sidelined you for a while. Could you tell us a little about that?
Mr. Nancy: Well ... I had an internal abscess and it ruptured causing me to come down w/peritonitis...basically all of my internal organs were infected with abscess', so they had to gut me and clean out the infection from the inside... I was in the hospital in critical care for a month, almost bit the bullet, then I was home recuperating for awhile...it sucked to say the least, but i'm still here!
TCZ: With you're new band Charm School Drop Outs, do you have any plans to record an album? Any touring in the near future?
Mr. Nancy: Definitely will do a record in the near future, some limited touring...our schedules are all pretty hectic
TCZ: Are you working on any collaborations with any other bands at this time?
Mr. Nancy : No, but if anyone has time to play in the afternoons, or needs a touring bass player, I might be available....
TCZ: What is you're most memorable live performance?
Why?Mr. Nancy: At this outdoor soccer festival party in Germany. It was pouring rain and these people were outside totally soaked slam dancing and going crazy and really into it...
TCZ: You've toured extensively in you're music career, where is your favorite place to play?
Mr. Nancy: Germany is one of my favorites, as well as the Double Down in Las Vegas
TCZ: How did you get the name Mr. Fucking Nancy?
Mr. Nancy: hahaahaaa...all I can say is that I've earned it!
TCZ: What are your plans for the future?
Mr. Nancy: Don't know for sure...keep playing music, stay healthy, see what I can get together....winning the lottery...
TCZ: Do you have any advice for upcoming female musicians?
Mr. Nancy: Practice, don't be afraid to take the leap if opportunity strikes, you can stay home and watch tv when you're old...and it's never too late to start playing, or to keep playing
TCZ: Is there anything we haven't hit on here that you would like to share?
Mr. Nancy: Just that I'm really grateful to be playing again and glad to see that there's so much new music out there...
