Mix the vocal prowess of the Four Non Blondes' Linda Perry with Alice in Chains-esque harmonies exploding over straight up, and highly effective rock beats with a hint of industrial heaviness, and you get Three5Human.

Despite the fact that throughout history white folk have attempted to steal practically every musical genre away from African Americans to pawn it off as their own, Three5Human prove without a doubt that an African American consciousness can produce just as rampant, if not stronger, rock material than any contemporary Caucasian band I’ve heard in the last ten years.

Reviving the blues and gospel influences of early R&B combined with modern day edgy hard rock makes this band widely accessible to the general public.

I’m especially impressed with the well-structured bridges and ripping guitar and drums solos. Very rarely do I hear a band these days that catches my attention so quickly.

Three5Human is a perfect example of a band that borders metal-like heaviness, but maintains a strong sense of melody and catchiness. To me, Three5Human truly offers the best of both worlds.

Standout Tracks include: “Genocidal Youth”, “Front Line”, & “Disco Ragdoll”
