I've always had a thing for British punk rock bands, and not surprisingly, Tat upholds the standards that predecessors such as The Sex Pistols and Clash have laid before them.

Obnoxious, and aggressive, while maintaining catchy melodies and sassy guitar riffs seems to me to be the perfect combination.

It's no wonder that they managed to score themselves as a featured act on all of Warped Tour 2006's 50 North American stops.

All of this, mind you, I concluded after only listening to one track!

I love the attitude, I love the look, I am rocking out to the sound, and I can't wait to hear more.

A definite ska influence is apparent by the usage of upstroking in several songs, but don't be quick to assume that they are not capable of more.

Tracks such as "Champagne, Cocaine, & Strawberries" demonstrate a softer side of the band, while "I Don't Want to Love" makes me wish I was in a mosh pit skanking with their fans. Regardless of the tempo, one thing remains clear: Tat is punk the way it was intended to be.

Suffice it to say, I would definitely buy this cd, and I recommend it to others that dig punk rock. Check them out. You won't regret it. I know I certainly didn't.
