Biography

Melissa's soulful, natural sound, and vocal power is unforgettable! Her songs, along with her smooth delivery, evoke emotion. Her artistic melodies pull you in and the strong hooks make you want to sing along. Known for her strong control and pitch, she is able to WOW live crowds immediately! While recording, she sings all of her vocals both lead and backgrounds. Melissa's R & B – Pop sound will appeal to pop and urban audiences alike. Her voice is the perfect harmony of youth, talent and unbridled emotion. Melissa sings what she feels!

Melissa's talent and love for singing was evident at the age of three, but took flight at 13 years old when a local audition came her way. Now, at 17, she is chasing her dream and recording her own music. Recently, she returned home from Los Angeles, California where she debuted her first original single "Waiting For You To Happen", at the House of Blues LA. Over the past two years she has been busy performing opening acts for various legends including comedian/impressionist Rich Little and Creedence Clearwater Revisited at the Chesaning Showboat Summer Concert Music Series. She's also been using her talent to help raise awareness and funds for various charities.

In addition to her passion for singing and performing, Melissa is a high school honor student and enjoys traveling and acting. Musical theater is also her forte! Locally, Melissa has appeared in several musical's playing lead roles such as Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Ms. Pennywise in UrineTown the Musical, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast and Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and His Wonderful Magical Lamp. Melissa has been recognized with numerous awards for her vocal and theatre work both locally and nationally.
