Aura was created in 2001 at The Berklee College of Music, Boston and has grown into a band that stands out from the rest, with driving melodies, inspiring lyrics, intense hooks and amazing stage presence. Maura Murphy graduated from The Berklee College of Music in 2002 with a Degree in Voice and Music Business.
Aura's song "Go On", the 8th track on her first cd, "Running Yourself Against Nothing" has been licensed as the theme song for the E-Style Network TV show "Relationship Rehab", by www.call4ally.com as the lead character's music video and by CBS's "The Young & The Restless" 4-6-05.
A review from All Access Magazine's Devin Strecker describes Aura's voice as… "Amazing, soulful, confident vocals soar over the music, alternating between a strong powerhouse and a soft, romantic lullaby."
